12.08.10 Releases

Between storms on the East Coast affecting Diamond Distribution Centers on the West Coast, hardware issues affecting the content of Diamond’s web-site, and Sea Donkey’s generally unreliable ordering practices, there’s really no telling what books are actually shipping where or what I’ll actually find in my LCS this week. I’d like to purchase the following items if at all possible. Northlanders #35 (DC/Vertigo), because, hey, hey, hey, it’s periodic Brian Wood collaborator Becky Cloonan turning in (I think?) her first work on Northlanders, and btw, that cover image is all kinds of Laura Palmer ca-ree-pee! Next up is Terry Moore’s Echo #26 (Abstract Studio), which begins the final run toward the finish line for the series. T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #2 (DC) has a decent shot of making it home after the mildly intriguing first issue. I’m also curious about the apparently already-selling-out-at-the-distribution-level 27 #1 (Image Comics), which builds a modern story around the notion of revered musicians like Hendrix, Cobain, Joplin, and Morrison all meeting their demise at age 27.
