My Thirteen Favorite Comics of 2016
It turns out when you're not primarily a critic, you don't have to justify your selections with long-winded explanations. You just throw a list up! So, here's my favorite comics from 2016, the books I looked forward to reading the most or, in a totally subjective way, the kind of stuff that I think comics should be doing as a medium.
1) Starve by Brian Wood & Danijel Zezelj (Image)
2) Lazarus by Greg Rucka & Michael Lark (Image)
3) The Autumnlands by Kurt Busiek & Benjamin Dewey (Image)

5) Nod Away by Joshua Cotter (Fantagraphics)
6) Three Sisters by Ingrida Picukane (Kus! Comics)
