Too bad that the all-too-familiar hit-and-miss nature of anthologies rings true for this one. What a gorgeous retro-inspired cover, though! I feel like I'm looking at a 100-year-old Sunday page of Feininger's Kin-der-Kids.

Ha! Nice reference. Yeah, it's a shame. I was intrigued by the trappings of the concept, and there were a couple of strong pieces, but overall... anthology atrophy kicked in.
Bah! That's a shame. You had me at the concept! Sounded great and I didn't think it was too bloated for an elevator pitch. ...but again, this is coming from the autobio-documentary guy. <:)
