It’s a thin week, but the books I will be picking up I’m really excited about. First up is
Northlanders #40 (DC/Vertigo), which pairs Brian Wood with Matthew Woodson, rumored to be the artist of a long-rumored Brian Wood project called
Dog’s Day End, whose thin line style is quite a treat, and I’m anxious to see what beauty he’ll conjure on this title. More info on him can be found at:
www.ghostco.org. The second gem this week is
Lone Ranger #25 (Dynamite Entertainment), which finally wraps up this reinterpretation of the pulp classic. It’s been a long time in the making, but the final issue promises lots of action and emotional payoff with the final showdown between John Reid and Butch Cavendish.
