Black Science #39 (Image): It's so great to see Remender & Scalera begin to close up shop with the final arc, mend Grant & Sara's relationship, and to see Remender pour so much of his personal experience into the writing. As I like to remind people, this was Remender's FF pitch that was too hot for Marvel, making it the best Fantastic Four book available!

Lazarus: Risen #1 (Image): It's always an easy pick when you have the return of one of the best books being published today, and at a time when the themes it examines are more socially relevant than ever before.

Little Bird #1 (Image): I was impressed with this debut, which takes a rural post-apocalyptic survival world-build, lays an odd techno-theocracy dystopian regime over it, and then marries it all to Ian Bertram's killer, lean, unflinchingly detailed art.

Green Lantern #5 (DC): This is shaping up to be an incredible run, and it struck me that Grant Morrison is pushing Hal Jordan to places increasingly odd, reminiscent of Colonel Willard straying too far up the river in Apocalypse Now. It's got insanely intricate full page vistas that stop you in your tracks from Liam Sharp, and a last page reveal that promises to be lots of fun.

Rome West [French Edition]

Rome West (French Edition): This gorgeous French language edition of Rome West is now available for purchase from Jungle Editions. In addition to a new cover by interior artist Andrea Mutti, it's also an oversized edition, and in hardcover, making this the third format it's been published in.

Aliens: Resistance #2 (Dark Horse): This has smart and engaging writing, a pair of lovely characters in Zula Hendricks and Amanda Ripley, really intricate and moody interior art, and an absolutely killer cover to provide the chills, which is to say basically this book has it all.
